Eightwire was born from the frustration of delivering data solutions for multinational corporates and the public sector.
Two consulants with over 30 years of experience in building data solutions saw a fundamental gap between the way data technology works and their customers.
This frustration led to a focus on forcing technology to work for business users. What started as an idea to remove the barriers that exist in loading data into a database has grown into a platform that allows hundreds of silos to all work as one.
Access to information is seamless and secure.
Non-technical staff can gain information without relying on technical staff.
Businesses can run more effectively than ever.

A business intelligence consultant with over 12 years of experience, Jason has always looked for better ways to deliver analytics. His focus on continuous improvement for analytics delivery showed that a major issue was preventing complex customers from achieving their goals. The years of frustration took its toll so Jason teamed up with his longtime colleague Nigel to build the software product the world was lacking: an automatic data exchange.
A US migrant to New Zealand in 2001, Jason has embraced the New Zealand ethos of pragmatism, hard work and lateral thinking. Currently living in Wellington, Jason was a fan of cycling, beer and late nights until he had kids.
For over 20 years of experience Nigel has been building enterprise applications for banks, government agencies and research institutions. Tackling the issue of how to get scientists to share a data library led to some early thinking about automated data exchange. After teaming up with Jason to build Eightwire, Nigel has led the construction of the Eightwire data exchange.
A kiwi from the Far North, Nigel has spent nearly 20 years in Wellington. When not in the office, he is instructing (WHAT) for the NZ Coast Guard and planning his next motorcycle trip.
Having worked in ICT for over 20 years, Kevin’s experience, particularly in programme & vendor management has him well placed to ensure smooth sales, ops and delivery of the Eightwire Data Exchange for our clients.
Prior to joining Eightwire, Kevin ran the delivery for Africa, Middle East and Asia Region for a large Global Services Company, turning around projects that had gone off the rails.
A passionate software developer and architect for more than a decade, Ismael’s focus these days is the new generation of Eightwire Data Exchange tools.
Ismael hails from Chile, and has built applications for Latin American and American clients, but now calls Wellington home.
Lei loves using technology to make hard tasks easier. Having worked in .NET Development for over 5 years, she’s helped us build our awesome website and is busy improving the user experience of our Data Exchange platform.
Prior to joining Eightwire, Lei was a .NET Developer for another local Wellington startup and a multi-national company.
